3D FAQ

3D swing arms have multiple settings influencing the quality of flight and takeoff.

  • The 3D system makes the piloting closer to the paragliding in terms of harness behaviour but also (if it is managed asymmetrically) compensates the engine torque.

  • We never talk enough about the importance of the ventral strap's setting which in free flight is adjusted between 40cm and 46cm (depending on the weight of the pilot and the size of the wing) in order to have a paraglider that meets the EN standard requirements on flight tests. Once tight, the pilot movements are ease (harness rest) during turbulence, and when it is loose (in our case one or two swing arms in 3D position), it allows easier harness support to counter the engine torque. The adjustment of this strap is therefore essential.

  • The lateral adjustments on the harnesses make it possible to refine the anti-torque correction.

  • The choice of the paraglider's attachments on the swing arms influences the good flight stability as well as the propeller plane at takeoff.
